fascism 101
fascism
ˈfaʃɪz(ə)m,-sɪz(ə)m/
noun
Fascism is "nationalism on crack". Nationalism is a systematic way of controlling and dictating a country, or countries. Nationalism is seen as being extremely right wing, the exact opposite of Socialism. It also "emphasizes a myth of national or racial rebirth after a period of decline or destruction", in layman's terms, it is the firm belief that a country will rise and be powerful once again. Fascism seems to contradict itself in that it wants to activate the people, but also favours the elite.
Fascism developed in the early 1900's, under Mussolini and later, Hitler. Something else to note about Fascism is that it is inseparable form capitalism.
